Pasta Salad

Anyone have a good recipe for a pasta salad? Something I can pack for lunches, etc.

i like rotini best for pasta salad. all the good stuff gets smushed in the swirls.

i usually dump in whatever i have from the fridge. lots of veggies. i hate a pasta salad that is mostly just dry pasta. i like any combo of the following ingredients.

green olives
cucumbers
tomatoes
red onions
toasted pine nuts
chopped zucchini
basil or parsley would be yum
lots of feta or parmesan on top

for dressing: oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper

oh! right now asparagus is on sale everywhere...that would be sooooo good!! i might make it myself

Daphne-- Thanks! I have almost all of those ingredients available. I'm never sure what to use as dressing-- people always use mayo, which sometimes I'm not too keen about. I'm going to give this a try. Looks great! (Especially with green olives-- I LOVE green olives)

i'm with Daphne...i love tri-colord rotini in pasta salad. BUT, i was watching the Barefoot Contessa (on food network) recently, and she made this killer asian salad with thin spaghetti noodles, vegetables and i think sesame seeds. looked so good. they might have it on the food network's website.
